Meet us on Be My Eyes, an innovative app that provides real-time video assistance for individuals who are blind and low vision
Inclusively has announced it has partnered with Be My Eyes, an innovative app that provides real-time video assistance for individuals who are blind and low vision. Starting on June 22nd, Inclusively support staff will be able to field calls from the Specialized Help section of the app.
“Inclusively is thrilled to partner with Be My Eyes and to be a valuable employment resource for their incredible community of blind and low vision users,” said Charlotte Dales, Co-founder & CEO, Inclusively. “We’re confident that this partnership will create new opportunities for job seekers to find jobs and connect with employers that are creating more inclusive and accessible workplaces.”
At a time when many are struggling to find stable employment, Inclusively will be able to provide remote guidance and consultation around key areas of job searching for people with a disability and locating inclusive employers. Joining companies such as Google, Microsoft and LinkedIn as organizational supporters of the blindness community, Inclusively is leading the way for career platforms leveraging technology to connect with their members and deliver services in a whole new way.
“Over the past year, we’ve been focused on two things at Be My Eyes: health – and employment,” says Will Butler, VP of Community at Be My Eyes. “Inclusively is stepping up to help us take a dent out of the unemployment rate in the blindness community, and we’re incredibly excited to see the impact they can have on the Be My Eyes platform.”
Now with more than 5 million users and a growing family of company partners, Be My Eyes is one of the largest “micro-volunteering” platforms in the world – with its more than 4.7 million volunteers on call at all times to assist those who need an extra pair of eyes at short notice.
